Large avalanche on Merritt Peak in the northern Sawtooths. It likely released on 12/23. It appears to have failed within or at the base of the recent storm snow.

Comments:

Wide crown in the left bowl of Merritt Peak that released below cliffs. Also a smaller (and fresher looking) slide on the shoulder separating the two bowls. Most likely storm slabs. Partially filled in so difficult to make out some details
