Intentionally triggered wind pillow with a ski cut. Failed on facets on top of crust at base of new snow (1/20 interface). Initiated as a 30' wide wind pocket and flanked out to about 100' wide in places. The final debris pile wasn't huge, but the overall slide was pretty impressive. Comments:

Intentionally triggered wind pillow with a ski cut. Failed on facets on top of crust at base of new snow (1/20 interface). Initiated as a 30' (4F+) wide wind pocket and flanked out to about 100' wide in places (F+). The final depositional zone of the debris pile wasn't huge, but the overall slide was pretty impressive. Ran 2,000' at speed with a powder cloud ~100-200' tall. Depositional zone was closer to D1.5 but I gave it a D2 rating based on overall characteristics.
