Blowing Snow: M Snow Available for Transport:
Comments: Obs from 3:00PM to 6:30PM. Bands of heavy rain separated by bright, almost sunny skies. Gusty west wind shaking trees. Rained hard enough on my drive to the pass to have standing water on much of the road. Saw a lightening strike while out Lake Creek. Rain turned to a mix north of Galena Lodge @~7,600'. Wet pavement at Galena Summit and no snow in any trees at any elevation. Temps at Lower Titus this afternoon showed ~35 deg for 4 hours with limited precip during that span.

BOTTOM LINE
Comments: Seemed like wind slabs were likely an issue based on observed wind-loading above the rain line. Can't say much about wet activity with poor visibility but the rain squall on the way to the pass died down by Easley Hot Springs. North of there seemed to not get much in the way of precip today (Lower Titus with about 0.3").
