Today showed us a more normal storm, light snow and more westerly winds. Our chutes are finally filling in instead of stripping to rock. There are some soft slab slides below cornices and they are starting to grow. The only new slides we've seen are thin pack, wind loaded areas. Nothing has stepped down into deeper weak layers. The snow is still unconsolidated with minor cracking only.

The snow here is very deep and for snowmobiling and has almost no base. Skiing is great on slopes that are steep enough to ski but moderate enough that they won't slide. We are going to continue to ski milder slopes, but are starting to throw charges into our chutes and bowls. It would be nice to ski the steeper stuff, but we are being very cautious and are avoiding anything with avalanche potential.
