2-3" dense new snow in Hailey and Croy, cream cheese texture. Stopped snowing for the most part around noon, 34F. Warming throughout the day with obscured skies and low clouds/fog to almost the valley floor. Skiing Croy/Colorado Gulch divide area: Calm winds, warm, coastal weather. Crust underneath new snow was "rubbery". No collapsing or cracking - the crust was bending while skinning up. The snow was wet to moist down to the crust, getting moist/damp in some of the weak facets (FC) below that on shady slopes. We were falling through the trap door into the FC on shady, sheltered terrain but able to stay on top in previously wind-loaded areas. Lots of rollerballs on the steep east face of Della by 2 PM.
