Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

frozen uptrack, great exercise in slipping.
12" pow and great turns on north facing treeline Sam's ridge; existing ski tracks were frozen.
bottom slope of Bowl 2 was surprising good until aspect flattened and turned south then
heinous crust required skiing from tree shadow to shadow out to North Fork creek.
No signs of instability but it was snowing on climb and ski.
Cornices forming top of bowls form NW wind.
