Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

We observed graupel throughout the profile basin and on Thompson peak varying in size from 2-5mm. This could present an interesting problem once additional snow falls on top of it. Overall, stability was good on all aspects, and we did not observe any avalanche problems. Wet loose avalanches were not a concern today, and we did not observe roller balls or "trenchy" snow. Snow on Northerly aspects was still cold winter snow, snow on Southerly aspects turned to corn, but did not get overly warm.
