Just a quick morning lap. We did not have much light yet on nearby peaks but wind-affect at upper and some exposed middle elevation ridges was apparent. Some middle/upper elevation ridges in the Pios were completely stripped.
The main observation of note was the obvious faceting in the upper snowpack. Surface hoar similar to Ben's ob yesterday in Trail Ck was observed on NW-N-NE up to about 7,500'.
HS = 60-70 cm, F->4F/1F-, small SH and FCsf. Thin 10-15 cm wind slabs were not reactive where we encountered them. We did not look closely for midpack weak layers, but they were not obvious in a couple of quick hand pits.
