At 2:15pm we dug an avalanche pit for an AIARE 1 course at the nose of Tweener Ridge. Elevation: 8300, Aspect: NE50, Slope Angle: 24. The HS was 110cm and we performed a CTH at 60cm down on 12/11 faceted crystals and also had an ECTX that only propagated at 60cm down on 12/11 faceted crystals when we applied non-traditional excess body force. No observed avalanches. Skiing down was tracked out and crusty-looking forward to better snow in the near future.
