Observations

We skied early in the morning. There was 6-8" of new snow at upper elevations from last night's storm. Winds were very light, and we did not see any evidence of recent wind-loading as of 10 AM. The skiing is phenomenal right now, but watch for rocks. The new snow has buried a lot of rock in only a few inches of snow, especially at upper elevations where the snowpack is more variable.

It was also a lot colder than we expected. It still felt very much like winter at mid and upper elevations, and I was glad I had extra layers.
