Observations

Broke trail up the cross. Large rumbling collapses on shadier protected terrain where old snow was present. Localized collapsing in areas with less or no old snow. Trailbreaking was difficult where in undisturbed snow but easier on previous days tracks. Significant wind transport once out of the lower trees. Skiing was good in the open. The surface had been pressed enough by the to be supportable on the ski down. We would not have skied wind loaded terrain or protected terrain that could be harboring older snow.
