Toured in the Copper Mountain area Monday 2022/01/24 from mid morning to early afternoon (1014-1445). Skied and skinned primarily on N-NE aspects with slope angles between 21 to 35 degrees at elevation range of 6690 to 8280 ft. Stayed off the upper elevations to avoid the Wind Slab danger of the day. The weather was as forecasted for the day, expect it may not have gotten as warm at predicted. The snow was soft with many good turns on shaded slopes. Any slopes that received any amount sun on Sunday 2022/01/23 had a crust of varying thickness. Dense consolidated wind drifts were located along the NW-N trending ridge that is north of Copper Mountain (Skiers/Riders) summit. No whumping, no shooting cracks, no avalanches were observed.
