Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skied Timber Bowls (N/NE aspect) and a few laps on Ego. Slope we skied in TB was over 30 degrees. We knew that the 12/11 persistent layer was present, but the snowpack was consistently deep and did not match the shallow, wind-affected, variable alpine-like structure that forecasts suggested we look out for. Snow conditions were generally soft. Although temps felt warm (30's), a colder wind continued to pick up through the day. Intermittent cloud/sun .
