Observations

Nice day for a tour out the ridge. Air temps were warm but a moderate N wind kept things cool on ridgelines. The wind was blowing hard enough at times to move around snow, but in most places there wasn’t enough loose snow available for transport. The wind effect on ridgelines and in alpine basins was not producing much in the way of hard slabs in the terrain we traveled in. There’s still a bit of soft snow and good skiing to be had on sheltered aspects, but conditions varied greatly basin to basin.
