Occurrence Date:
Feb 10, 2023 (+/- 1 day)

Location:
Williams Peak

Comments:

I observed numerous small, solar-initiated loose snow avalanches in the steep, rocky terrain of the Sawtooths. The largest was this slide on the SE-face of Williams Peak. The debris pile of this was wide, and easily visible with the naked eye from the highway. I'm not sure if this started simply as a point release or if there was some sort of larger trigger.
