General Information

This home was impacted by an avalanche after it crossed the Big Wood River into Hailey. You can see snow from the slide blown up under the eves and onto the window. Thankfully it was not damaged and nobody was injured.

Comments:

At least 4 very large (D2.5) avalanches. An estimated 65-75% of the avalanche terrain on Carbonates E face avalanched. Most of these slides spanned the Big Wood river. In one location approximately 300 yds of the river was under 15-30' of snow. Two homes were hit, but neither were significantly damaged.
