On high elevation the snowfall and wind has loaded leeward slopes more than the weak underlying snowpack can deal with.
About 20cm of fresh snow
DH under MFcr under 12/7 storm and 12/11 wind drift on wind loaded slopes. Thickness of wind slab varies a lot, from 20cm to almost 1m in very loaded pockets. F to 4f in hardness all the way down to MFcr. I could not see any signs of buried surface hoar between 12/7 and 12/11where I was looking, but I was mostly in wind-affected areas.

I saw no reason to venture into avalanche terrain
