Avalanche was reported by Blaine County Sherrif Dept, Ketchum Fire Dept, and Blaine County Road and Bridge crew. Cracking and Collapsing fields are not applicable.

Bottom Line

This was a natural wet loose avalanche in a treed area with a thin snowpack (about 1 foot deep). I visited the site on Wed March 2nd.

D1.5 WL 1 N-Natural 2-4 feet of debris on Warm Springs Rd, 40-50 feet wide. Slide was in a semi treed area, ran to near the ground (about 1 foot deep). None
