This was a yurt maintenance trip and did not involve venturing up onto slopes above the Boulder Yurt. Poor structure with well developed facets in bottom 30cm's of snow pack topped by 60 cm of low density storm snow in the valley bottom. There was little wind affect observed and the storm snow was not acting as a slab-yet. A bit of settlement and/or wind will change this and expect the storm snow to develop more reactive slab qualities over time.
