A quick tour to the top of the Titus Lake Chutes to verify any avalanche activity. The Lake Chutes had less wind-affected snow in the start zones than I anticipated, given the light-density snow and moderate winds. The avalanche in Walcher's bowl looked wind induced from cross loading above and likely failed on weak, sugary snow from the 2/18 interface based on the depth of the crown.
Snow showers were on and off through the afternoon, with brief clearings. Winds were gusty and transporting snow in upper elevations. The light snow was able to be thrown further down slope than normal.
