Snow Stability

Stability Rating:
Fair
Confidence in Rating:
Low
Stability Trend:
Steady

Bottom Line

I have low confidence due to high variability in slab properties. PWL's, although variable in structure, are consistently weak, with possible exception of S and SW, in which bonding appears better between older FC and HST. I also have low confidence that time after storm has appreciably increased stability in all cases. PWL's remain weak.
Recent reports and obs of activity substantiate that problem combos do exist, and will propagate.
Driving through the avy debris tunnel near Crony Cove, Warm Springs, and looking at the widespread crowns above, on various aspects and elevations, is a good exercise in humility.
