Summit cornice broke off the northern aspect of the cross. Likely a natural trigger.

Based on how much wind and snow there was, and lack of other parties, my best guess is this cornice was natural or wind triggered.

This wind slab avalanche occurred naturally during Monday's storm. Backside of the "Cross", 9200', NW, in the Galena Summit & Eastern Mtns zone.
