Observed from a distance, crown probably 3-4’ thick, 250-300’ across, ran full length of drainage.

Observations

Casual touring, aware of of the danger and traveled cautiously. Widespread whomping on moderate terrain e.g. 20-25 degrees, whomping with fracturing on 30 degree+. Lots of wind blown slabs. Traveled on ridges where it was wind impacted. Lower elevations - less wind impacted- leeward sides skied well 25degrees or less. Snow depths ranged from 2-3’ on average.
