Observations

The snow was variable the whole morning. Lower elevation South and West had 1 inch crust under 2 inches of new snow. Snow was hallow and inconsistent on skiing, especially on the flats. At middle elevations the crust was not obvious but it was more of a density change in the upper snowpack. When we dug around in the snow there was a 3 inch crust about 4 feet down with sugar snow under the crust.
