Cold ridge top winds out of the West. Signs of transport on higher peaks. Skiing was a mix of breakable wind crust up top (7800'), and generally became less supportive as we descended. In the flats on the way out our ski Pen was to the sage. Avalanche concerns were limited to places where wind had stiffened the snow into a more cohesive slab.
Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
N/NE/E. Small to medium. Human triggering possible to likely.
Observed Avalanche Problem #2:
Shaded aspects held rotten, faceted snow in the lower half of the snowpack. If in an area with a consistent and well developed slab, I think you could trigger a very large avalanche.
