I’m new at this so this is my first submitted obs. Wanted to practice digging a pit and compression test. Note we skied near this area spot yesterday (hence before this test) and felt confident in our decision bc we were staying to 30 degrees Or less. CLR; N / NE 8750’; about 32 degrees At pit. Result: At Tap 20 we think we saw a slight break in column 40cm down. After 30 taps I pried the back of column with shovel and it slid off cleanly at that spot. So probably best to say result was CTH. Attaching photos of hand hardness. Weaker layer at about 40cm.
... also we didn’t see any evidence of wet loose slides on N or solar side of copper.
