Sorry for the delay. But yesterday morning (Sunday) at about 11:00 a.m. we were skinning up the apron of one of the lower Narnia chutes (9200', N aspect) when we were very surprised to experience two significant (and loud) collapses that seemed to affect a very large area. I assume it was the recent snow load along with our weight on top of a very shallow and unconsolidated pack that caused the reaction but it was not expected. We were also causing cracks up to 5 or 6'+ as we broke trail. Temps were still in the mid-20's. This event quickly scared us off the 35 degree apron and we went to the more conservative up route down drainage. Best, Olin Glenne
