Warmer day at 34 degrees at 6,000 ft at parking lot at 9:15am. Touring up snow was wet and heavy. The Trees were raining down as the snow melted from them. Dug a quick pit just to see how things were starting off for the season. 6,700ft West Aspect , HS 75cm. Snowpack was consistent all the way through with 4F. Around 50-52cm mark there was a very wet saturated layer. In the picture that is shown between the blue lines. Might be a layer to watch for in the future.
