Clear skis with light winds all day.
Surface snow on solar aspects overall remained dry. Observed slight warming throughout the day.
We skied the north bowl off Avalanche Peak (~33 degrees NNW aspect ~9300'). We were aware of the forecast's recommendation to avoid wind-loaded slopes above 35 degrees so we checked two spots above the run for signs of wind loading. One was in the shallow more wind exposed approach to the bowl and the other at the lip of the bowl. Observed mild wind texturing and about a 6" non-reactive slab in the upper location. Observed mild wind texturing and no slab in the lower location. We picked the center line which remained below 35 degrees.
