Size 2: Could bury, injure, or kill a person
Elevation:
9,100’
Aspect:
NE
Comments:
From mushroom ridge, we looked across and saw a slide in the punchbowl from (assuming) yesterday. We just happened to still be looking that way when a large D2 slide broke loose in the same bowl. Large plume, big runout, scary looking stuff. Hard to be certain from that far away in size, but it seemed big enough to really do some damage.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

We toured up mushroom ridge and sneaked through in low angle stuff back to the car. Saw evidence of a very large slide on Gladiator, another smaller one on the Punchbowl, then witnessed a large slide crack off just next to the previous one in Punchbowl around 9am.

Media

Large slide in the Punchbowl, released naturally ~ 9am
Crown from the slide on Gladiator, assuming this slid yesterday
