Went up to Anti-Cross to dig around in the snow & see how things are changing up there.
It was snowing heavily tracks were filled in on the ridge on our way back down (some wind transport) and about 1/2 way filled in going through sheltered trees.
Dug pit at NW aspect : Elevation 8,938' : Slope 15.
Total depth 96cm
light crust layer at 50cm (from bottom) & solid crust layer between 33-36cm
Facets seem to be forming between the crust layers.
A few test results:
CTE @ 75 (new snow), was not very planar break
ECTN4@70cm
CTE @ 53 (X2)
PST 18/100END @44cm (x2) *This one shocked us a bit since ECT had not propagated (texted in a video of the test)
